Lake House

A rustic two-storey spruce house standing on log stilts over a lake. Spruce plank walls sit in a frame of spruce logs, with tall windows lit by lanterns on every side, under a steep gable roof with deep overhangs, a dormer on each side and a stone chimney at the back. A low porch roof on log posts runs all round the house above a wraparound deck with fence rails and lantern posts. From the front a jetty steps down and reaches out over the water to a wide end with barrels and lanterns, with a small pier where a rowing boat is tied up. Every post stands on a cobblestone and stone footing at the waterline. Inside are hanging lanterns, a table and chairs, bookshelves and barrels, and a bed in the loft.
