Treehouse Village

A village of five big spruce trees standing on small rocky islets in a lake, their roots spreading into the shallows. Each tree carries spruce plank cabins on railed decks high in its trunk, with log corners, glass pane windows with trapdoor shutters and small dark oak roofs under a big oak leaf crown. Rope bridges of slabs and fence rails link a central hub tree to the four trees around it and run round the back of the ring. Spiral stairs and ladders climb the trunks, lanterns hang on chains from the decks, bridges and branches, and a plank dock with a rowing boat waits on the water.
