Lion Statue

A majestic lion statue on a stepped stone plinth, head held high and front legs straight. Its body is carved from stone bricks, smooth stone, cobblestone and a little andesite. A huge, chunky mane of spruce logs, spruce planks, stripped oak and a few gold blocks frames the square stone face (heavy brow, deep-set eyes, broad nose, muzzle and mouth line) and runs down the chest and over the shoulders. The paws have toes, and the tail curls up behind to a mane-coloured tuft. The plinth has stone brick courses, chiseled corners, a cornice and two steps, with lanterns on posts and leafy bushes along the lower step.
