A corner sofa that wraps around two walls: white quartz slab seats on a spruce base, a white wool backrest, spruce armrests with a lantern on each, and ivy trailing down the wall behind.
Twenty-four Minecraft furniture ideas for every room: sofas, a fireplace, a kitchen, beds, a shower, a PC desk and more, each with exact blocks and step pictures.

Minecraft has very few real furniture blocks, which is exactly what makes furniture fun to build. A sofa is a row of slabs and wool, a fridge is an iron door in the right frame, a table is a slab on a fence. Once you know the tricks, an empty room becomes a home in an evening.
Here are all twenty-four furniture builds in the X-Builds catalogue, grouped by room. Each is an original design with a full guide: the exact blocks it needs, counted from the build itself, and a picture for every step with the new blocks outlined. They are all small and quick, which makes them perfect first builds.
Every piece is shown in its own room corner, with a floor and two walls, so you can see it in place. Those are counted in the block list too: if you are adding a piece to a room you already have, skip the floor and wall steps.

A corner sofa that wraps around two walls: white quartz slab seats on a spruce base, a white wool backrest, spruce armrests with a lantern on each, and ivy trailing down the wall behind.

A modern white sofa with quartz slab and gray carpet cushions between spruce armrests, with a barrel side table and a gray and white rug in front.

A low rustic coffee table on spruce log legs, with a slab top and a row of trapdoor panels down the middle, and a little oak tree growing in a trapdoor planter in the corner.

A dressed-up coffee table with a white quartz slab inlay, set on a red rug in front of a white sofa. A complete little living room in one corner.

A media wall: a big wall-mounted black concrete screen in a polished blackstone frame over a low spruce console with drawers and open cubbies.

A cosy stone fireplace with a chimney breast of mixed stone bricks, cobblestone, cracked and mossy stone rising through the ceiling beam. Three lit campfires burn in the hearth, under a spruce mantel of lanterns and potted plants.
Campfires hurt anything that stands on them, so keep the hearth opening fenced off or set back if pets or friends wander through.

A long glass pane tank full of water on a spruce cabinet, with a sand and gravel bed, coral blocks and a dark prismarine backdrop, and lanterns hanging over the water.
Live coral blocks turn into dead gray coral soon after they are placed if no side touches water, so fill the tank right after you lay the coral bed.

An L-shaped kitchen counter: smooth stone worktop cupboards with trapdoor doors, a barrel drawer, a furnace oven and a smoker, and a sink made from a water cauldron with a lever tap.
The furnace and smoker work: a smoker cooks food twice as fast as a furnace, so the kitchen earns its place.

Wall-mounted kitchen shelves on trapdoor brackets over a low counter, with potted plants, quartz slab jars, decorated pots and a lantern hanging on a chain.

A tall double-door fridge of iron doors and an iron trapdoor freezer, framed in smooth stone, between a spruce counter and a barrel pantry.
Iron doors only open with redstone. Add a button beside each door if you want the fridge to open.

A long rustic dining table on chunky upside-down stair legs, with three stair chairs on each side and a white carpet runner down the middle.

A farmhouse dining set: a long spruce slab table on two trestles, with a long bench down each side and white carpet plates on the table.

A double bed with a blue wool blanket and white wool pillows on a spruce frame, a bookshelf headboard and nightstands with lanterns on both sides.
Like most furniture builds, it is decorative and made of wool. Hide a real bed nearby if you want to sleep and set your spawn here.

Two stacked bunks with blue blankets on a spruce frame, a ladder up the end board and a trapdoor safety rail on the top bunk.

A tall spruce wardrobe with one door swung open to show coats of white and light gray wool hanging from a chain rail above a chest.
The chest inside is real, so the wardrobe is storage as well as decoration.

A storage wall in three parts: four stacked barrels with their lids to the front, a tall spruce cupboard and a long low cabinet with drawers.
Barrels open even with a block on top, unlike chests, so the stack is all usable storage.

A white quartz basin on a spruce vanity with a lever tap, between smooth stone cabinets, on a polished andesite and smooth stone checker floor.

A walk-in shower with glass pane walls on a stone brick kerb, an iron trapdoor drain and an iron rain head on a chain arm.

A computer corner: a spruce desk with a black concrete monitor, a carpet keyboard and a stone button mouse, a stair chair, and bookshelves and plants on the wall above.

A wall of bookshelves framed by spruce log columns, with a desk, a stair chair, a tall cabinet and a small window.
Bookshelves are useful as well as pretty: placed around an enchanting table with a one-block gap, they raise the enchantment levels it offers.

A rustic hanging chandelier: a chain drops from a ceiling beam to a spruce hub with four slab arms, each with a lantern hanging beneath it, and a fifth lantern lower in the middle.

A wall of plants: rows of potted poppies, tulips, cornflowers, alliums, daisies, ferns and azaleas on a counter and two shelves, with vines trailing down the wall.

A small indoor tree with a crown of oak and flowering azalea leaves, growing out of a big spruce planter with moss and ferns on top.

An outdoor pergola on a spruce deck, its beams grown over with leaves and vines, with an L-shaped sofa bench, a slab coffee table and lanterns hanging along the front.
